Today I woke up at 10am. I know. AND it was still difficult. I really hate waking up, but on the rare occasion that I do wake up earlier (say 8am) I always enjoy the quietness of the morning. My most recent goal, allow a little more quiet in my life, practice stillness. Today I failed, but that’s ok, I’ll start tomorrow. Gearing up for a pretty busy week ending with an epic wedding on Saturday, it’s going to be a good one, and this week a crazy week so sleeping in today was warranted…bring on the week! And with that I’m sharing a little lifestyle session today. Jamie is a talented photographer and a lovely friend of mine so when she asked us to do a little session with them before moving out of the house they’ve lived in for 10 years, we couldn’t pass it up. Jamie, Ben, and Henry…thank you for letting us in on a piece of your life, you’re refreshing, you’re inspiring and we can’t wait to experience this next chapter of life (in South Park..yeah!) alongside you.

Oh hello. Who’s excited for the beginning of the week? I woke up at 11:30am today so safe to say I caught up on some sleep and am ready to hit the ground running. First things first, blog posting. Several months ago we had the opportunity to be there at the wedding of Aaron and Kat for some Smog Shoppe lovin. These two lovebirds met at Mattel where they both worked. So the wedding was themed around their love for toys and each other. I must say, it was perfect. It’s also always a pleasure working with the Nira from Amber Events, sooooooo, yep, pretty much wedding heaven. Kat and Aaron, you two are something adorable and we hate that you live all the way over in the midwest! Thank you for allowing us to be there on such a big day in your lives and we can’t wait to see you both VERY SOON! muah!

As you can tell, this week it’s a Tuesday blog post. This travel is doing some crazy things to our schedule, but we love it so bring it on scheduling craziness! Don’t you worry, still blogging. Today is a good one too, a good one indeed. Last month we had the opportunity to shoot a wedding in Denver and while we were out there we met up with our friends Kelsey and Shaun and just had to capture a bit of their life to take home with us to San Diego. We ADORE these two, YES, like heart explosion adore. They used to live down the street from us and I’d be lying if I didn’t say a little piece of our heart broke off when these two moved away. Shaun is one amazing videographer-photographer-artist-all around good dude (and one of the nicest at that) and Kelsey is a killer writer-blogger-chef extraordinaire. So to say these two inspire us would be the understatement of the century…just being in the same room with them makes me want to create amazing things. Yeeeees, Kelsey and Shaun, we love you. Thank you so much for letting us be there to document just a little piece of your life, for long talks over brunch, for your honesty and your passion for what you do. You do life well my friends, and we can’t wait for the next time (which better be soon)!!
