Hello Monday! And how is yours treating you? Ours? Well we are in catch up mode, inbox, editing, big things. We love it though, it’s true. Today we are sharing the engagement session of Justin and Melanie. These two drove down from LA and met us at UCSD for their session and I must say, it was a total blast. Not only are these two totally hot with some killer style, they are the perfect amount of silly (we were laughing the whole time). From dancing in hallways, to pretending to be robot aliens (yep), we didn’t want it to end. Justin and Melanie, the way you love and enjoy life is inspiring, we had the BEST time and are counting the days until Santa Barbara in September. Til then! xoxo

Hey hey friends! I know, a little late buuuuuut we have been insane busy fest lately so a touch behind, but just a touch. Today we are traveling again for a few days relaxation in Ojai so going to keep this one short. So we thought we’d share a little commercial shoot we did for Exquisite Weddings on honeymoon fashions. A day in Palm Springs shooting some rad looks? How could we resist? So enjoy some goodness and you’ll be hearing more from us soon!

Yo! Happy Monday what what? Indeed. Rico and I have had quite the weekend. We had two lovely photog friends visiting from the midwest (hi Ashley! Hi Abbey!), so we were adventuring our way around San Diego, finishing the weekend at The Cream Event last night. Which has left me quite tired and sore footed this morning from all that EPIC PARTYING. Good times, good good times my friends. Soooooo, here we are pleasingly exhausted, packing for a week in Tahoe and San Fran, and of COURSE blogging for you all. Today we’re sharing the family session of Stone and Shelby Crandall. We only do a handful of family sessions a year due to our crazy schedule, so it’s such a treat when we get to spend this time documenting the lives of one of our favorite familys and fellow photogs in San Diego. So we met up at their house, and then hit up their local walking trail and topped it off with some good noodles for dinner. Shelby, Stone, and Knox…we love you. Yep, pretty much. It was an honor that you asked us to spend this time with your family, thank you for inspiring us and we can’t wait for many more shoots to come (and noodles!!).

ALSO, one more order of business. Rico and I are on the lookout for an intern to join our studio ASAP. It’s a great opportunity to learn from us as you develop your photography business, AND to learn the in’s and out’s of this business and industry. SO if this seems like something you may be interested in, we’re putting our feelers out so shoot me an email at rachel{at}studiocastillero.com and tell me why you want to work with us! Thank ya in advance! muah!
