Hi there! Oh man, have I been sick or what? Maybe some of you have noticed, maybe not, but I pretty much fell off the face of the planet this last week due to the worst cold of my life. Death plague. My apologies for my absence and also, my apologies for the random vague emails you may have gotten from me…needless to say I was a bit out of it when emailing under quarantine. Phew, but I’m alive and almost well and ready for another week. Today we’re having a catch up in the office day so we just have a little glimpse of the lovely engagement session we shot yesterday with our new friends Tae and Kary, the drove up from Mexicali just to spend a few hours with us and few hours of awesomeness they certainly were. We will of course be sharing more of their session at a later date, but just thought we’d give you a little taste because, well, we love them. So off I go to play inbox and editing catch up…love ya folks! muah!
Oh hello there, is it our favorite day of the week now eh? Today I spent the day doing our taxes…oh yeah, good times. So in celebration of being finished, I’m going to share a little something different with you today. We have recently started offering maternity shoots, we didn’t do them in the past, but now that a lot of our past wedding clients are having babies we thought, hey, lets do this! So we’re sharing the maternity session we did of the lovely Tiffany and Troy. We shot their engagement session, wedding, maternity, and recently newborn shoot for the sweet little Blair. Tiffany and Troy, congrats on your new family member, it has been such an honor being there for all your life changing times, we love you! Muah!
Yo! Happy Monday what what? Indeed. Rico and I have had quite the weekend. We had two lovely photog friends visiting from the midwest (hi Ashley! Hi Abbey!), so we were adventuring our way around San Diego, finishing the weekend at The Cream Event last night. Which has left me quite tired and sore footed this morning from all that EPIC PARTYING. Good times, good good times my friends. Soooooo, here we are pleasingly exhausted, packing for a week in Tahoe and San Fran, and of COURSE blogging for you all. Today we’re sharing the family session of Stone and Shelby Crandall. We only do a handful of family sessions a year due to our crazy schedule, so it’s such a treat when we get to spend this time documenting the lives of one of our favorite familys and fellow photogs in San Diego. So we met up at their house, and then hit up their local walking trail and topped it off with some good noodles for dinner. Shelby, Stone, and Knox…we love you. Yep, pretty much. It was an honor that you asked us to spend this time with your family, thank you for inspiring us and we can’t wait for many more shoots to come (and noodles!!).
ALSO, one more order of business. Rico and I are on the lookout for an intern to join our studio ASAP. It’s a great opportunity to learn from us as you develop your photography business, AND to learn the in’s and out’s of this business and industry. SO if this seems like something you may be interested in, we’re putting our feelers out so shoot me an email at rachel{at}studiocastillero.com and tell me why you want to work with us! Thank ya in advance! muah!
