hello hello Monday lovers. Did we all enjoy our weekends? Rico and I sure enjoyed ours with our TWO lovely weddings this weekend (congrats Ozzie, Nikki, Eva, and Josh!). You’d probably think I’m exhausted today also but guess what? I’m NOT. Must be because I actually got about 8 hours of sleep last night…happens rarely so this is cause for celebration. Yay sleep! I’m such a better person because of it, Rico can vouch for that. SO since I’m in such a great mood I’m going to share an even GREATER engagement session with you today. Meet Jeremy and Katie. She’s a photographer herself and complete doll, and he’s a super chill guy, and pretty much we adore them (and are COUNTING the days until their fall Marvimon wedding this year…mmmmmm hmmmmmmm). We spent a few windy hours with them at Star Ranch in Corona and I must say, they were quite successful. Jeremy and Katie, thank you for being so rad and for trusting us completely during your shoot…we are HONORED to be a part of your story and SERIOUSLY dying for October to come. In the meantime we can all enjoy this windy country-ish awesomeness that we have here today. Muah!

And a happy Monday to you too! Rico and I had some good times running around the bay area this weekend, and now we’re back ready for our weekly checkin. Today we’re posting the engagement session of our lovely Arkansas couple Wade and Johnna. Several weeks back we had the pleasure of venturing out to Fort Smith, Arkansas where we shot their engagement session and wedding all in the same weekend. We flew in on Thursday, shot their engagement session on Friday and then their wedding on Sunday…so it was quite the whirlwind but a darn good one at that. Not only did we find the BEST vegan pho we’ve ever eaten, or had the opportunity to shoot in tons of green trees (doesn’t happen that much here in SD), but we got to experience exactly what they mean by southern hospitality. Johnna and Wade and all of their family and friends were some of the most welcoming people we’ve ever met. It was fantastic and I left Fort Smith already planning on when I could go back for a visit! For their engagement session we took a walk out on some tracks out to a creek, then finished at a little nature reserve. And let me just tell you, these two are something awesome, Johnna walked barefoot pretty much the ENTIRE time (I can’t even walk barefoot on the sidewalk let alone railroad tracks or rocky creek beds), they climbed up bridges, pulled ticks off me with their bare hands (because I’m too much of a wimp to pull it out myself), all the while running around in 95 degree humid weather getting their pictures taken and still looking perfect in every single one. Oh Wade and Johnna, is it weird that we miss you? No way, we do! come visit us soon ok? Oh and just wait until the wedding pictures….soooooooo good. In the meantime though, enjoy! muah!

Happy Memorial day! And a huge shout out to all those who serve and have served! We appreciate you! Since it is Memorial day and I’m certain the majority of you are out enjoying each other, bbq-ing (we’ll be doing some of that later), and relaxing on your day off, I’ll keep this short but still sweet. The last several days Rico and I have been in Arkansas for the engagement session and wedding of one of the sweetest couples ever! We will be posting full blog posts of these sessions later on where I’ll fill you in on all the fun details of our trip, but for now I thought I’d give you a little taste of our time there and the lovely Johnna and Wade. These two are something adorable and we can’t wait to share more! In the meantime, enjoy the pics and Johnna & Wade have the best honeymoon ever, we’re missing you already!! Enjoy!
